ASD

Autism Spectrum Disorder is the diagnosis. My husband and I are working our way through the five stages of grief. There is so much that we need to learn about ASD and so many questions. As we read more about ASD, we are learning that not all questions have an answer and that is frustrating. The unknown is so stressful and scary. You know how when you are trying to navigate your way by car in a new city, a big city, how stressful and scary that can be... it's a similar feeling right now... stress, worry, discomfort, fear. My lifeline is my family, my friends and the team of people who are helping, and will be helping Ben. He is still the same sweet, beautiful boy he was before the diagnosis.
